HealthTech startup Plazza has secured $15 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Accel, Elevation Capital, and Nexus Venture Partners, as the company looks to expand its AI-driven pharmacy network and strengthen its rapid medicine delivery services across India.

The latest investment marks a significant milestone for the Bengaluru-based startup, reflecting growing investor confidence in technology-enabled healthcare services and the increasing demand for quick-commerce solutions in the pharmaceutical sector.

Funding to drive expansion

Plazza said the fresh capital will be used to enhance its artificial intelligence-powered technology platform, improve inventory and supply chain management, and expand its network of technology-enabled neighbourhood pharmacies beyond Bengaluru.

The company plans to leverage AI to improve demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, and operational efficiency, enabling faster deliveries while reducing stock shortages and improving customer experience.

The investment will also support the expansion of Plazza’s rapid medicine delivery model, which promises deliveries within 15 to 30 minutes. By strengthening its logistics infrastructure and pharmacy network, the startup aims to increase access to essential medicines in urban markets across India.

Building a technology-first pharmacy network

Founded in 2024 by former Zomato executive Aman Priyadarshi, Plazza combines digital ordering with hyperlocal fulfilment to simplify medicine purchases and make healthcare products more accessible.

Unlike traditional pharmacy models, the company partners with neighbourhood pharmacies while using technology and AI to streamline inventory management, order processing, and last-mile delivery. The approach enables customers to receive prescription and over-the-counter medicines quickly without visiting a physical store.

As consumers increasingly embrace digital healthcare services, Plazza is positioning itself at the intersection of e-commerce, artificial intelligence, and healthcare delivery.

Rapid growth attracts investors

The Series A funding follows an earlier seed investment of $1.4 million raised in 2025 from All In Capital and Better Capital.

The company has also demonstrated strong business momentum. According to Plazza, its gross merchandise value (GMV) grew nearly 27-fold between June 2025 and March 2026, underscoring rising consumer demand for faster and more convenient pharmacy services.

The rapid growth highlights the increasing adoption of quick-commerce models beyond groceries, with healthcare emerging as one of the fastest-growing categories.

Digital healthcare gains momentum

Plazza’s latest fundraising comes amid growing interest in India’s digital health ecosystem, where startups are leveraging artificial intelligence, data analytics, and hyperlocal logistics to transform healthcare delivery.

Investors are increasingly backing companies that combine technology with essential services to improve accessibility, efficiency, and customer convenience. The expansion of AI-powered pharmacy platforms is expected to play a key role in modernising pharmaceutical retail, improving medicine availability, and reducing delivery times.

With fresh funding and ambitious expansion plans, Plazza aims to strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly evolving HealthTech market while building a scalable pharmacy network capable of meeting rising consumer demand for on-demand healthcare services.
