The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) has released its latest Cancer Disparities Progress Report, highlighting persistent inequalities in cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survival across different populations. During a special briefing, AACR Chief Executive Officer Margaret Foti emphasized the need for sustained investment in research, equitable healthcare access, and public policy reforms to reduce disparities and improve cancer outcomes for all communities.
The report outlines how social, economic, environmental, and biological factors continue to influence cancer risk and patient outcomes, particularly among historically underserved populations.
Progress Made, But Challenges Persist
