RECELL Leads Wound Care Portfolio
Avita Medical develops therapeutic solutions designed to improve wound healing and
accelerate patient recovery. Its primary technology, RECELL, is approved by the U.S. Food
and Drug Administration for treating thermal burn and trauma wounds.
The platform uses a patient’s own skin to create Spray-On Skin, an approach designed to
support wound treatment at the point of care while potentially improving clinical outcomes.
In the United States, Avita Medical also has exclusive rights to market, sell and distribute
Cohealyx, its branded collagen-based dermal matrix. The company additionally holds
exclusive rights to manufacture, market, sell and distribute PermeaDerm, a biosynthetic
wound matrix.
Global Regulatory Presence
Avita Medical’s products have secured regulatory approvals and certifications across several
international markets. RECELL is approved for various applications involving skin healing,
including thermal burns and trauma wounds.
RECELL and RECELL GO are CE-marked in Europe, while RECELL holds TGA
certification in Australia and is listed with Medsafe in New Zealand. The technology is also
approved by Japan’s PMDA.
